2025 Changes to Sanitation Collection. January 1, 2025 Atlantic Waste will begin collecting in the City of Walthourville.
ATTENTION CITIZENS 2025 CHANGES!
Janaury 1, 2025 will usher in a new era in the City. For the first time in the history of the City of Walthourville, the Sanitation Department is being privatized.
The Mayor and Council bidded, voted and the contract was awarded to Atlantic Waste of Pooler, Georgia. They will begin Sanitation Collection at 6:00 AM on January 2, 2025. Please have polycarts curbside before 6:00 AM on the day of your collection.
Please note: The Monday and Tuesday Routes will remain exactly the same.
THE WEDNESDAY ROUTE WILL BE MODIFIED AND DIVIDED INTO TWO DAYS. THURSDAY'S WILL BECOME AN ADDITIONAL COLLECTION DAY.

Hunter's Branch Subdivision
Hampton Ridge Subdivision
McDonald Ridge Subdivsion
Dunlevie Road
THURSDAY COLLECTION WILL CONSIST OF:
Smiley Woods Subdivision
Dorsey Road + Side Roads
Shaw Road + Side Roads
Sabreena Circle Subdivision
Lambert Plantation Subdivision
The Hamlet
BULK CHANGE: Bulk Trash Collection will ONLY be collected on the date of your Sanitation Collection. You must be paying for Bulk Collection for Atlantic Waste to collect. If you have called City Hall and opted out of Bulk Collection, you are responsible for discarding your waste.
There will be no Sanitation Collection on New Year's Day, January 1, 2025. Both the City of Walthourville and Atlantic Waste will be closed for the Holiday.
