CARTER ROAD CLOSURE

Location: Carter Road (Griffin Roadside)
Beginning: March 2, 2026
Duration: Approximately 45 Days
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has informed the City of Walthourville that a portion of Carter Road (Griffin Road side) will be temporarily closed for continued progression of the bypass construction project.
GDOT has communicated directly with affected residents and provided alternate travel routes. Additionally, 911 dispatch and all Public Safety agencies have been notified to ensure uninterrupted emergency response services during this closure.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as infrastructure improvements are made for the continued growth and enhancement of the City of Walthourville.
