City Wide Water Outage RESTORED
The City of Walthourville would like to inform our citizens that water service was temporarily interrupted today after a contractor working for a cable company accidentally struck a water line.
The City's Water Technicians responded immediately and have successfully completed the necessary repairs. Water service has now been restored.
As a precautionary measure and in accordance with standard procedures whenever water pressure is lost, the City is issuing a Boil Water Advisory beginning today June 10, 2026, at 5:20 PM for 48 hours. This advisory will expire on Friday June 12th, 2026 at 5:20 PM.
. This advisory is being issued for precautionary purposes only. THE WATER IS SAFE.
However, citizens are encouraged to boil water intended for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth until further notice.
Please note that it may take several hours for the water system to fully repressurize and for normal water pressure to be restored throughout the city.
